ABOUT MEKA
A Journey from Humble Beginnings to Herbalism
My story began in Sanford, Florida, where a small okra garden in my childhood home first introduced me to the joy of growing things with my own hands.
Inspired by my parents' determination, I worked while attending school and earned my college degree through perseverance and a love of learning. I went on to serve the public for more than 31 years in federal service.
Throughout my journey, I always cherished my connection to the natural world. Over time, my interest in herbalism grew into a passion and a new purpose: combining my professional experience with my love of plants.
Today, Edible Herbs is a way to share that connection and celebrate the natural world.
We all belongs to each other.
TRADITIONAL AND SUPPORTIVE USES
Wellness Benefits of Everyday Herbs
Across many cultures and generations, herbs have been woven into everyday wellness through food, teas, aromatic preparations, bathing traditions, and household remedies.
Long before modern laboratory testing, communities developed plant knowledge through observation and experience, passing practices down through families, healers, cooks, and written herbals.
Herbs were often valued not only for their flavor and fragrance, but also for their roles in comfort, seasonal care, digestion, rest, and personal rituals.
Today, this history continues to shape how people use herbs, while modern research helps distinguish traditional practice from well-supported benefits. The descriptions below reflect traditional or potential supportive uses.
